Wat Tham Seua (Tiger Cave Temple) |
|
Wat Tham Seua is a temple located on top of one of Krabi's numerous limestone mountains. The only way to reach the temple is on foot, after climbing 1,237 steps, some of which are extremely steep. A person of average health can reach the temple within 20 to 30 minutes. There is a fresh water tank at the temple for thirsty climbers. It is recommended though to bring a bottle of water for they way up. The temple consists of a huge buddha statue, a tall golden chedi and two small shrines, one of which is famous for Lord Buddha's footprint. |
