Accommodation

Krabi Town: There are a number of small hotels in Krabi town which may feel less touristic than hotels in in Phra Nang Bay

Phra Nang Bay:

  • Ao Nang: The greatest choice in terms of accommodation is in Ao Nang, which is also a good base for those who want to visit Krabi's hinterland in addition to the beaches. You can find everything from cheap and simple bungalows to high-end resorts.

Places I've stayed:

Ao Nang Paradise Resort: Some 20 or so cozy but comfortable bungalows, quiet location around 400 m from the beach, inexpensive. Very nice staff.

The Cliff Ao Nang: 500 m from the beach, very romantic bungalows, great design concept, nice furnishing, classy pool, but very expensive. Looks like a spa, but there is none.

The Pavillion: Large building, very nice rooms, good restaurant, brilliant but expensive spa.

Phra Nang Inn: 30 m to the beach (behind the beach road, though), large rooms, good value for the money, good spa, good food, but make sure your room is not located next to the noisy main road

Ao Nang Sunset: Rather dull looking inexpensive hotel, 150 m to the beach, massage on-site

  • Nopparat Thara Beach: Only few places to stay because it is part of the National Park, a bit secluded from "life".

Places I've stayed:

Krabi Success Resort: I was in quite a nice room ("Honeymoon Suite" - ???) which was not expensive. Large pool, but it might be noisy there at the moment since another resort is under construction next to the hotel.
