 Railay
Beach was
hit hard by the wave, as can be seen in some photos at www.railay.com.
However, as of today, hardly any signs of destruction can be found in
West Railay. The beach and the beachfront bars looks just fine, there
is just some minor renovation taking place in a few beachfront resorts.
In East Railay you can see some branches of trees or garbage trapped
in some bushes, but that's about it.  Walking
from East Railay towards Phra Nang Beach,
you realise that the 5-star Rayavadee Premier Resort is still closed
and that there is a lot of renovation works going on at that place.
Overall, it seems the restaurants and hotels in Railay are pretty
relaxed about the tsunami itself, as can be seen in the way they
advertise their current discounts...
